to the home of Arkansas's premier Pontiac car club. Our objective
is simple. We offer Pontiac car enthusiasts a family environment
in which they can enjoy their automobiles and each other. We welcome
any past, current or future owner of Pontiac automobiles to join
The Arkansas Pontiac Association is proud to announce that it will be partnering with Goodsell Truck Accessories to present the annual Wheelin' and Healin' car show on April 28th. This is a change of venue for the show. We will no longer be in Maumelle. This will take place at the Goodsell facility, 401 Municipal Drive, Jacksonville, Arkansas. We couldn't have asked for nicer weather for the "Dad's Ole Car Ain't What It Used To Be" Car Show at the NLR VA Center. We haven't got an accurate car count
yet but I'm sure we were around 130 great looking vehicles! Thanks for showing your rides to the Veterans and thank you to all of the Veterans that were participants, we salute you! Click the

One weekend and 400 miles later we've done another fun Poncho Power Tour. Things started out shaky with a broken brake line and an alternator
belt that rolled but we perservered. Saturday found us having lunch in historic Wilson, Arkansas and touring the Dyess Colony and Johnny Cash boyhood home.
Sunday started with yet another 180 degree turn after we blew past the world famous George Ray Drag Strip in Paragould. Then we meandered up to Old Davidsonville
state park, cut west across the top of the state and landed in Heber Springs for the traditional ice cream stop before splitting up and heading for home. It was
lots of fun and great people. I can't wait for next year. Pictures are as always.
The 15th annual Wheelin' And Healin' car show was a lot of fun and we want to thank all the people who came out to register their cars. If you don't know already,
the APA presents this show to raise money for Arkansas Children's Hospital, specifically their Clinical Nutrition department. This year we had a special award for the
50th anniversary of the GM F-body. The winner was Curtis Kirby in his 1968 Camaro. Best in show went to Dan Slingbaum in his 1955 Chevy and Best Pontiac was garnered by
Ronald Hatch with his 1967 Tempest. We registered 73 cars this year. Come join us next year and let's get this show up over the 100 car mark! Click on the photo above for
a gallery of images from the show.
When we heard that the classic movie "Smokey and The Bandit" was going to be on the big screen again we couldn't pass it up. A group of roughly
20 APA members trekked to the theater to take in Burt and Sally running from Jackie Gleason one more time! Mark Osbourne made the day by driving up
in his SE Trans Am and a replica of the car used by Gleason as Sheriff Buford T. Justice. We only grabbed a few pictures so click above for what we did.
What do you do when Mother Nature decides to give you a sunny, 80 degree afternoon in February? We know. Meet for pizza, have a short
lunch meeting and then hit the road for a cruise! Ice cream at the end makes it even better. Click on the picture above for more of what you missed.
It was another food and laugh fest during the annual Arkansas Pontiac Association Christmas Party. After a great pot luck meal the crew moved on to playing a game called "where are you going"
and then moved on to the highlight of the evening, the dirty Santa gift swap. It goes without saying that the rubber chickens returned and have found new homes for the coming year. We all look forward
to the next chapter in the life of the rubber chicken! Click on the photo to go to the gallery.
